Gradual Admission System

The aim of the gradual admission programme is to introduce your child and yourself to the nursery and the staff caring for your child whilst he/she is in our care.

We request that parents or carers accompany their child for three seperate visits in order to help the child settle into the nursery as stress free as possible. Some children or parents/carers may feel more comfortable with having more than three sessions this can easily be arranged.

A Suggested Programme

Day 1: Parent/carer and child attended for 30mins to view the room that the child be in and meet the members of staff that will be working with the child.

Day 2: Child attends the nursery for a 1 hour session without the parent.

Day 3: Child attends the nursery for a 1 hour 30 minutes over a mealtime without parent/carer.

Please note that this is just a suggested programme some parents/carers do not feel the need to phase their child in and other children require more time. We will be happy to discuss any alternative arrangements where required.

We are fully aware of the anxiety that parents and carers may have when leaving their child for the first time. Please feel free to ask as many questions as you like about the nursery and staff as and when you require.
